FLAGLER BEACH CITY COMMISSION
A city commission type government was once very common in the United States. In a city commission government, voters typically elect from five to seven members, on a plurality-at-large basis to constitute the legislative body of the city. As a group, these individuals are responsible for taxation, appropriations, ordinances, and other general functions of the city. As such, a city commission form of government blends legislative and executive branch functions in the same body.
