Wings Over Flagler
Wings Over Flagler is an annual event held at the Flagler County Airport in Palm Coast, Florida. It’s produced by the Warbird Enthusiasts of Blue Sky Yakrobatics, Flagler County Airport and Mills Aviation Charities. (“Warbird” is the term aircraft enthusiasts use to refer to vintage military aricraft.) Wings Over Flagler began because the County of Flagler had a desire to host an airshow. They let their desire be known to the Blue Sky Yakrobatics and together decided to bring aviation to a larger audience. The first event was a huge success. This led to the development of Mills Aviation Charities, Inc., a non-profit corporation dedicated to raising aviation awareness, preserving aviation history, educating, and providing teens with the opportunity to follow their aviation dreams. For anyone who enjoys airplanes, this is the place to be. It’s your chance to admire all sorts of different aircraft, talk to pilots from all over the country, and listen to their stories. There are even several planes that are imports from the old Soviet Bloc and from China’s air force.
